What is Prejudice?
After the presidential election of 2016, a viral video of the streets near my alma mater’s campus had been trashed and unkempt, literally with trash bins knocked over and liter covering the streets to where cars could not drive through, which was unfortunately caused by students that lived in that particular area. Many of the comments of the video proclaimed that the students of the university were “privileged” and “entitled.”
As a response to this video and the tense political climate surrounding the results of the 2016 election, I sought to understand what the community and the students on campus thought of the ideas of “White privilege” and “prejudice.”
Below are images of students and their reactions to these ideas.
